  • 40.00

Pantocrator means "Ruler of All."

The prototype used for htis icon dates back to the 6th century. Divinely protected through wars and iconoclasm, it is the oldest surviving icon of Christ Pantocrator.

Affectionately called "the Sinai Christ," it is now a sacred treasure of visual theology at St. Catherine's Monastery in the Sinai desert.

This image holds, in beautiful tension, foundational truths of Christianity: Dark and LIght, Earth and Heaven, Time and Eternity, Law and Grace, Judgement and Mercy.

These truths are seamlessly joined together in Jesus the Christ, who is Ruler of All.

Dimensions: 10.25" tall, 6.25" wide, 0.5" thick

These icon prints are made with superior quality ultrachrome pigment ink, colorfast for up to 75 years, and are mounted for hanging or standing.
